Yarraman Magic Turned On At Stakes Level Again

Up in Sydney on Saturday the shining light of the racing at Warwick Farm was the victory of Ilovethiscity in the $500,000 Group1 Guineas.

This 3-year-old colt by the Yarraman Park sire Magic Albert had won the Hobartville at Rosehill Gardens on February 26 and now has nearly $750,000 to his credit.

Ilovethiscity is one two 3-year-old colts by Magic Albert to each win two stakes in the past four weeks. The other is Master Harry, winner of the Royal Sovereign at Randwick on February 12 and then the Hoysted at Flemington on March 5.

Magic Albert was a very promising sprinter whose career was cut short through a stable accident.

A son of Zeditave, he is a third generation Australian sire who appears very valuable to breeding as his pedigree is completely free of Danehill’s grandsire Northern Dancer.
